If the animal has died

We do not provide a collection service for deceased animals.

For a dead animal on public land or a local road, contact the relevant local council for advice or removal arrangements.

For a dead animal on a Scottish trunk road or motorway, contact Traffic Scotland on 0800 028 1414.

Only contact Police Scotland where road users are at risk and the situation needs a police response. Use 999 only if someone is in immediate danger.

Do not touch dead wild birds. If you find dead wild birds, follow the current GOV.UK reporting advice for avian influenza.
